09 Nazilli Karting Park

In Nazilli, in the province of Aydın, this open-air circuit lays out 800 metres of track an average of seven metres wide, dimensions that make it a genuine sporting layout rather than a simple ride. It is the region's first karting facility approved by the Directorate of Youth and Sports, built to national competition standards, to the point where it can host rounds of the Turkish Championship. It stands in the Nazilli industrial zone, next to the municipal Olympic swimming pool.

The venue offers karts suited to different ages and skill levels, and every driver receives safety training before setting off, overseen by experienced staff. The width and length of the layout open up real chances to overtake and to work on your lines, a change from cramped urban tracks. On site, rest areas and a cafeteria let you catch your breath between runs. People come to drive as a family or among enthusiasts, and they return to shave off tenths on a circuit built for performance.

Nazilli is a lively town in the Meander valley, known for its traditional printed cottons. All around, the Aydın region rolls out olive groves and ancient sites: the Greco-Roman city of Nysa is close by, and you can easily reach Aphrodisias, a UNESCO gem with its remarkably preserved stadium, as well as the limestone terraces of Pamukkale a little further on. The Aegean coast, Kuşadası and its beaches are only an hour or two away by road. The town is served by the expressway that runs along the valley, which makes access easy from İzmir or Denizli.
