Aviemore Kart Raceway

Aviemore Kart Raceway stretches across Granish (PH22 1QD) at Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands, at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, 50 km south of Inverness and 130 km north of Perth. The outdoor track opens every day apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and the National Karting Association inspects it annually to the highest safety standards.

A full multi-category fleet covers every level. Kadet karts (120cc petrol) run for 8-13 year olds from 1.32 m (4ft 2″). RT-200 karts (200cc petrol) run from 13. RT-270 karts (270cc petrol) take drivers from 17 only, on a separate adult track for safety. Tandem karts (200cc petrol) carry one adult (17+) with one child (4+). Battery-operated kiddie karts run from age 3. Ten-minute trial prices: Kadet £14, RT-200 £16, RT-270 £20, Tandem £22, kiddie £2 per session. Aviemore stands as the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park 2003 (4 528 km², the UK's largest national park, Ben Macdui 1 309 m the UK's second-highest summit, Cairngorm Mountain 1 245 m with its funicular ski resort). The Strathspey Steam Railway runs heritage steam services with Boat of Garten station and the Aviemore-Broomhill line. Loch Garten RSPB osprey reserve and Abernethy Forest's ancient Scots pine sit close by. The Highland Wildlife Park (RZSS) lies 10 km north with lynx, brown bears, wolves, and European bison. Glenmore Forest Park and Loch Morlich mountain beach add walking and watersports. Ben Nevis 1 345 m (the UK's highest summit) lies 100 km west. Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle reach 60 km west. Inverness and Culloden Battlefield 1746 lie 50 km north.
