BattleKart Graz

In Gössendorf, at the gates of Graz in Styria, BattleKart offers a karting unlike any other: electric karts move on a track with no fixed layout, where projectors draw a circuit and life-size video games on the floor and walls. You put on a seatbelt, with no helmet or glasses, and set off into fifteen-minute games mixing racing and challenges.

Six game modes give rhythm to the sessions: classic racing, but also variants inspired by snake, paint, football or a pool game, where the karts interact through sensors. An anti-collision system brakes automatically on contact, which makes the activity safe and open from one metre forty-five. It is an outing that pleases families and groups of friends out to have fun alike.

Graz, the second city of Austria, is known for its old town listed as world heritage, its Schlossberg hill with its clock tower and its artificial island on the Mur. The Styrian capital, lively and full of students, is not short of outing ideas. BattleKart adds an original activity, halfway between karting and video gaming, welcome in all weather. Each game takes on a different look depending on the mode chosen, which pushes groups to string heats together to try everything, and the lack of a helmet along with sensor-assisted driving make the experience open even to children who have never driven a kart before.
