BattleKart Le Mans

In Spay, at the gates of Le Mans, the BattleKart offers a karting unlike any other: electric karts move on a track with no fixed layout, where projectors draw a circuit and life-size video games on the floor. You put on a seatbelt, with no helmet or glasses, and set off into a few-minute games mixing racing and challenges, open from one metre forty-five.

Several game modes give rhythm to the sessions: classic racing, but also variants inspired by snake, paint or football, where the karts interact through sensors. An anti-collision system brakes automatically on contact, which makes the activity safe and open to families and groups of friends alike. It is a playful outing that makes a change from traditional karting, sheltered in all weather.

Le Mans is world-famous for its 24 Hours, the most famous endurance motor race, and for its legendary circuit. The town also keeps a fine medieval Plantagenet city, to discover along the lanes. The BattleKart adds an original activity there, halfway between karting and video gaming, in a town where motorsport is a real institution.

The format appeals as much for a birthday as for a team outing, with games booked in advance. The lack of a fixed layout and the projected games renew the experience at each visit.
