Circuit de karting de L'Enclos

In Septfontaines, in the Doubs, the Circuit de Karting de l'Enclos stretches 1,200 metres of outdoor track at the heart of the Doubs plateau, halfway between Pontarlier and Besançon. The site sits in a rural area typical of the Haut-Doubs: fir forests, karst valleys, the first foothills of the Jura massif. It's one of the longest circuits in Franche-Comté, making it an interesting playground for experienced Doubs drivers and their neighbours from French-speaking Switzerland.

With its 1,200 metres, the open-air layout offers a real driving course: straights long enough to push speeds and technical sequences that demand precision and good line-reading. Several kart engine sizes are available depending on driver level, from entry-level models for younger drivers to punchier versions for regulars chasing timed sessions. Conditions shift with continental altitude weather: faster and drier in high summer, more demanding in shoulder seasons. The site regularly hosts birthday parties, stag and hen parties, and corporate seminars.

Septfontaines is 30 minutes from Pontarlier, an hour from Besançon, and 1h30 from Lausanne (Switzerland). The region offers plenty to extend the visit: Pontarlier and its industrial heritage, the UNESCO-listed Vauban citadel of Besançon, the picturesque village of Arbois and its historic centre, the Hérisson waterfalls, or a detour to Haut-Doubs ski resorts (Métabief) in winter.
