Evokart Kiel

Evokart Kiel runs a fleet of SodiKart electric karts at Braunstraße 40 (24145 Kiel), in the capital of Schleswig-Holstein and of international sailing. Each kart delivers 2 x 2.8 kW, up to 95 Nm per wheel, with a Boost button that adds extra power for overtaking.

Three modes match the driver: a kids mode from age 7, an adult mode and a Pro mode that reaches up to 31 hp. The track opens Tuesday to Thursday 3pm to 8pm, Friday until 10pm and weekends 11am to 8pm, with Monday closed; during school holidays it opens at 11am on weekdays. The GP20 race costs 30 euros (4 minutes of qualifying then 14 minutes of racing), with a 22 euro children's deal during the autumn holidays; budget 3 euros for a licence and 3.50 euros for a balaclava. Kiel, with around 250,000 inhabitants, is a major naval and leisure port at the mouth of the Kiel Canal (Nord-Ostsee-Kanal), the busiest in the world between the North Sea and the Baltic. Every June the Kieler Woche hosts the largest sailing regatta in the world and close to three million visitors. The harbour lines up Stena Line ferries to Sweden and Norway, the Laboe naval memorial watches over the bay, and the beaches of Schilksee and Strande edge the nearby Baltic. Lübeck and its Holstentor, UNESCO-listed, are 80 km to the west, Hamburg 90 km to the south and the Danish border at Flensburg 70 km to the north.
