Frasnelli Kart

In the heart of the Val d'Adige, in Vadena in the province of Bolzano in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, the Frasnelli Kart runs a 1,030-metre outdoor track at the foot of the Dolomites. The site sits in a picturesque setting typical of the Bassa Atesina: the Adige plain, apple orchards (the home of the IGP Melinda apples), the first alpine heights and striking views over the Dolomite massifs. It is used by South Tyroleans and Bolzano residents for outings with friends and by Dolomites-South Tyrol holiday-makers looking for a long layout fifteen minutes from central Bolzano.

The outdoor track stretches over 1,030 metres, a layout suited to adult and experienced drivers, in the picturesque setting of the Val d'Adige. Several engine sizes are available, with higher-powered karts for regulars used to timed sessions. Conditions follow the continental alpine climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy autumn days and cold winter ones. The site hosts enthusiast sessions, motorsport-focused stag and hen groups, corporate events and regional championships.

Vadena is fifteen minutes from Bolzano, thirty minutes from Trento and an hour and a half from Verona. The region offers plenty more to see: the bilingual historic centre of Bolzano and Castel Roncolo, the South Tyrol Archaeological Museum (Ötzi, the 5,300-year-old Iceman of the Similaun), the Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento (seat of the Council 1545-1563), the Dolomites UNESCO (Catinaccio/Rosengarten, Sciliar/Schlern), Lake Caldaro and its hiking trails, or a side trip to Merano and the Trauttmansdorff Gardens or the Alpe di Siusi.
