Go-Kart Martin

In Martin, in the north of Slovakia, the Go-Kart Martin lays out a covered track of three hundred and eighty metres, five to eight metres wide, on an asphalt surface. The layout, described as wide and fast, leaves real overtaking zones. Two-seater karts with dual steering wheels let children take part in the driving with an adult, which opens the track to families and the youngest drivers.

The indoor space is ventilated and stays pleasant whatever the season, sheltered from the rain as well as the cold. A reservation is advised to drive for more than an hour, and a refreshment area looks straight onto the track, handy for following the races. People come to drive alone, as a family or in a group, for a first taste or to string laps together among friends on a circuit designed for speed. The overtaking zones and the good ventilation of the hall make the difference over time, especially during long sessions or group races, where the air stays breathable and the track readable to the last lap.

Martin sits in the Turiec region, a basin ringed by the Veľká Fatra and Malá Fatra massifs. A historic centre of Slovak culture, the town houses major national institutions and opens onto mountains made for hiking, such as the Martinské hole.
