Go Kart San Marino Halkidiki

In Neos Marmaras, on the Sithonia peninsula in Halkidiki, the Go Kart San Marino has run karts in the open air since 1996. It is the only karting track on the whole peninsula, a landmark for holidaymakers in this part of northern Greece. The fleet relies on engines of eighty, one hundred and one hundred and twenty-five cubic centimetres, with two-seaters to take a passenger and let younger ones taste the speed. Children are welcome from the age of eight.

The track opens in the evening, from six in the afternoon to one in the morning, hours tailored to the warm nights of the Greek summer, once the heat of the day has dropped. People come with family or friends after the beach, for a few laps under the floodlights. The mood stays that of a holiday outing, relaxed and easy-going, where you can drive solo or race the clock among friends.

Sithonia is the second of the three peninsulas of Halkidiki, the greenest, lined with pine forests that run down to clear-water coves. Neos Marmaras is its liveliest resort, with its fishing harbour and beaches. Karting adds a sporting activity on land, welcome to give rhythm to a seaside stay between swims and walks along the coast. The whole of Halkidiki, with its three peninsulas reaching out into the Aegean Sea, lives to the rhythm of summer tourism and draws visitors each year from Greece and the neighbouring Balkans alike.
