Five minutes from Manufaktura, in central Łódź, Gokart Arena lays out 220 metres of covered track inside a hall of nearly 2000 m². The layout is genuinely technical: seven metres wide through the fast curves and tightening to three metres in the slow corners, which rewards clean braking and tidy lines. Quick laps fall around 22 to 24 seconds, a handy benchmark for tracking your progress from one session to the next.

The fleet is built around the latest Sodi SR5 karts, fitted with assisted steering that needs less effort at the wheel and makes the driving approachable from your very first laps. A two-seater kart lets you take a passenger along and pass on the basics to a beginner, while a dedicated children's model comes with a harness and reinforced protection. Booking is handled online, with helmets and balaclavas available on site, so you simply turn up, gear up and head out.

Łódź deserves time once the racing is done. Manufaktura, the vast cultural complex built inside former textile mills, sits right nearby, along with Piotrkowska Street and its giant wall murals. Anyone drawn to industrial heritage can carry on to the EC1 centre and the cinematography museum, in a city that turned textiles and film into its trademark, about ninety minutes from Warsaw.
