Gokart Gävle Rörberg

In Valbo, near Gävle, Gokart Gävle set its outdoor track on the site of the Rörberg Motorstadion, a local home of motorsport. The outdoor layout runs in the open air, and you can drive from spring to autumn, the season usually starting in early May. Senior and junior karts share the track, with access from a hundred and twenty-five centimetres for the youngest, opening the activity to a wide range of drivers.

Karting stays open to everyone, no licence or experience needed: a briefing, a helmet, and off you go chasing your best lap. You can come as a drop-in subject to space, or pick one of the group race formats, handy for outings with friends or colleagues. Gävle is a port town on the Gulf of Bothnia, capital of the Gästrikland province, best known for the giant straw goat raised each year as Christmas approaches on the central square. Its old wooden town, Gamla Gefle, and parks such as Boulognerskogen make it a pleasant stop, between sea and forest. The region marks the gateway to northern Sweden. Gävle and Valbo are easily reached by train or the E4 motorway from Stockholm, in a little over an hour.
