Halsa Motorsportsenter

In Vågland, in Møre og Romsdal County, the Halsa Motorsportsenter is the karting track of the NMK Halsa club. The outdoor layout is open both to members, for training and competition, and to the public for rental: you drive for two hundred and twenty kroner per ten-minute heat, on petrol Sodi RT8 karts. Adults drive the full-size karts from fifteen, children models to their size from eight.

The track runs to the rhythm of the season, open every other weekend from the end of May, with possible closures in heavy rain. This mix of club and public access makes it a real meeting point for local motorsport, open to families as well as to drivers out to take on the clock. The mood stays that of a club of enthusiasts.

Vågland lies by the Halsafjord, in a region of fjords and mountains in the west of Norway, on the edge of Trøndelag. The famous Atlantic Road, which hops from islet to islet, is not far off. The Halsa Motorsportsenter adds a dose of karting in the open nature there, in a typically Norwegian setting.

Running through a club explains the friendly mood and the care for technical detail, with well-kept karts and guidance for the first laps. The per-heat price and the welcome given to children make it an affordable family outing. In this region of deep fjords and winding roads, karting adds to the many open-air activities of western Norway, between sea and mountain.
