Izzi Karting
About
In Suceava, in Bukovina, Izzi Karting opened in August two thousand and twenty-two the town's first indoor karting track. The layout of about three hundred metres winds across two thousand two hundred square metres, with tight corners and acceleration zones, and runs fully electric karts. Three models share the track: adult karts from the age of fifteen, children's karts from six and more playful "Crazy Karts".
The electric karts, quiet and odour-free, offer brisk acceleration and an easy feel from the very first laps. Children drive models fitted with suitable safety systems, and the FaceRacer app tracks lap times, which spices up races among friends. Open every day from nine in the morning to nine at night, the track also offers training sessions, championships and a refreshment area.
Suceava was the former princely capital of Moldavia, and its residence fortress still looks over the town. Neighbouring Bukovina is renowned for its painted monasteries, listed as world heritage, to discover on a short trip. Izzi Karting adds a modern, covered activity there, welcome to get moving when the northern winter turns harsh.
Set along Calea Unirii, near the town's big retail names such as Carrefour and Decathlon, the track is easy to reach and to combine with a shopping trip. Membership programmes and championships keep regular drivers coming back, following their progress season after season. Suceava opens the door to Bukovina, a region of hills and forests at the foot of the Eastern Carpathians.
