Kartbahn - alpincenter Hamburg-Wittenburg

The Wittenburg Kartbahn is part of the Alpincenter Hamburg-Wittenburg complex, one of the longest indoor ski centres in the world, with its permanent snow slope 330 metres long and 30 wide, open all year. The kart track thus shares the same site as a world-class indoor ski facility, which makes it possible to combine motorsport and winter sport in the same place, 40 km east of Hamburg.

The covered karting is part of a wider team-building and group offer, which brings together skiing, snowboarding, an on-site hotel, catering and group activities. Wittenburg lies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, 40 km east of Hamburg, an hour's drive by the A24, and 80 km south of Lübeck. Hamburg brings together the UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt and Kontorhausviertel, the Elbphilharmonie by Herzog & de Meuron, the Reeperbahn, the Alster lakes and the Miniatur Wunderland, the largest model railway in the world. Lübeck keeps its Holstentor, its Niederegger marzipan and the Buddenbrook house of Thomas Mann, Schwerin and its many-towered castle are 40 km to the east, and the Baltic Sea, at Travemünde, 90 km to the north.
