Kartbahn CalaRace

Kartbahn CalaRace spreads a covered track of around 450 metres over two levels, at Boschstraße 6 in Kehl, a border town of Strasbourg on the right bank of the Rhine. The fleet is entirely electric, with a top speed above 50 km/h, and the facility sits next to the Sensapolis complex, a 1,600 m² themed indoor family park, which makes it possible to combine karting and a family outing in the same place.

On site, the Chattanooga catering area lines up its big screens for sporting events, rounded out by full cuisine and themed rooms for birthdays and corporate events; family packages give access to the Sensapolis park. A listed formula offers around 150 euros for four people, that is three 8-minute sessions with cards and head covers included. The track opens Wednesday to Friday 3pm to 9pm, Saturday 12pm to 9pm and Sunday 12pm to 8pm.

Kehl faces Strasbourg, to which it is linked by the Mimram footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists and by the cross-border tram on line D, the first in Europe. Strasbourg and its Grande Île, UNESCO-listed, bring together the Gothic cathedral, La Petite France and its canals, the Rohan Palace and the European Parliament. Offenburg, a baroque town, is nearby, Baden-Baden and its Friedrichsbad spa 35 km to the south, the central Black Forest with the Mummelsee and the Hornisgrinde a little further, and the Triberg waterfalls, among the highest in Germany, at the heart of the range.
