Kartbahn Saarlandring

Kartbahn Saarlandring is the only open-air kart track in all of Saarland, operated by the Motorsportclub Uchtelfangen e.V., in the Uchtelfangen district of Illingen. Opened on 1 April 2007, it unrolls a 716-metre layout whose width varies from 7 to 12 metres, which opens several lines and eases overtaking on the fast sections.

On site, a fleet of Rennkarts serves competition, and the track hosts a dense calendar of national and regional championships for the 2026 season, from the Kart-Trophy Südwest to the Rok-Cup, through the Deutsche Kart-Meisterschaft, the Rotax-Max Challenge and the events of the WAKC and SAKC clubs, as well as rounds of the ADAC Rallye Saarland championship. The hours follow the federation calendar, with opening to the general public on Sunday 10am to 6pm depending on availability.

Illingen and Uchtelfangen lie in the Neunkirchen district, 20 km north-east of Saarbrücken, 30 km south-west of Sankt Wendel and 80 km south of Trier. Saarbrücken lines up its baroque Ludwigsplatz and its residential palace, the Saarschleife draws its great bend seen from the Cloef at Mettlach, world headquarters of Villeroy & Boch since 1748, and the Völklinger Hütte, a former ironworks UNESCO-listed, hosts contemporary art in its casting halls. The French border is 20 km to the west, towards Forbach and Sarreguemines, and Trier, with its Roman Porta Nigra UNESCO-listed, 95 km to the north.
