Kartbahn Stetteldorf
About
In Stetteldorf am Wagram, in Lower Austria, the Kartbahn Stetteldorf lays out a large open-air layout of about nine hundred and eighty metres, up to ten metres wide, that can be driven in both directions. The fleet counts fifteen Birel karts of two hundred and seventy cubic centimetres, three youth models of one hundred and sixty for twelve to fourteen year-olds, and a two-seater, all electronically timed. Enough to drive fast and long on one of the largest tracks in the region.
The length and width of the layout make it a real racing ground, far from small urban tracks: you have time to find your feet, work on your lines and try overtakes. Reopened in 2017, the track hosts open driving, birthdays, corporate events and races open to all. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday, closed early in the week.
Stetteldorf lies on the Wagram, a region of hills north of the Danube, about ten kilometres from Tulln, the garden town, and half an hour from Vienna and Krems alike. The area, between fields and villages, is easy to reach by motorway or train. The Kartbahn Stetteldorf holds a prime spot for open-air motorsport fans north of the capital. The option to drive in both directions almost doubles the fun by offering two circuits in one, and the recent fleet of fifteen karts allows real group races, barely half an hour from Vienna by motorway or train from Tulln.
