Kartbahn Teningen

Kartbahn Teningen runs a 780-metre outdoor layout, 5 to 7 metres wide and compliant with German safety standards, in Teningen, in the Breisgau. The fleet covers two uses: Leih-karts for hire, open from age 12, and CIK-standard Rennkarts for owners of competition chassis looking for an approved track.

On site, helmets are provided, an asphalt paddock is used to prepare the competition karts, and there are toilets, electrical sockets for teams and drinks. For hire, expect 22 euros for 15 minutes, 35 euros for half an hour and 58 euros for an hour. From March to November, the Leih-karts run on weekdays from 12pm until sunset and at weekends from 10am, the Rennkarts from 12pm to 7pm on weekdays and from 10am to 7pm at weekends with a midday break; night sessions under floodlights are possible by reservation. Teningen lies in the Emmendingen district, on the Upper Rhine plain, between the Black Forest and Alsace, 15 km north of Freiburg im Breisgau, 50 km south-west of Offenburg and 60 km north of Basel. Freiburg keeps its Gothic red-sandstone Minster, whose 116 m openwork spire is unique in Europe, and its Bächle, those paved streamlets. The Schauinsland overlooks the southern Black Forest at 1,284 m, the Kaiserstuhl, a volcanic massif, holds almost Mediterranean biotopes, Colmar and its Petite Venise are 60 km to the west, and Basel, with its Kunstmuseum and the Fondation Beyeler, 60 km to the south.
