Karting de Crolles

In the Grésivaudan valley, Karting de Crolles unfolds 600 metres of outdoor track between Belledonne and the Pre-Alps, fifteen minutes from Grenoble. The site benefits from a spectacular Alpine setting, in the Isère plain that separates the neighbouring massifs, and stays busy year-round with Grenoble residents on end-of-day runs as well as ski-resort holidaymakers heading down the valley for a different kind of day.

The 600-metre open-air layout alternates fast sections and technical corners, with that extra layer of difficulty mountain air can bring : humidity changes the grip, and the particularly bright Alpine light shifts your perception of distances. Several kart engine sizes are available depending on driver level, from entry-level models for younger drivers to punchier versions for regulars chasing timed sessions. With sessions starting at €18, the rate stays reasonable for an easily accessible site. The circuit regularly hosts kids' birthday parties, stag and hen parties, corporate outings, and team-building events from the Grenoble research valley.

Crolles is ten minutes from Grenoble via the A41, twenty from Voiron, and three quarters of an hour from Chambéry. The region offers plenty to extend the visit: the Belledonne and Vercors massifs for hiking, alpine lakes (Achard, Crozet), 7 Laux or Chamrousse ski resorts an hour away, or a detour to the historic centre of Grenoble and its cable car. A solid pick to combine motorsport with Alpine nature for the family.
