Karting Le Creusot – Parc des Combes

In Le Creusot, in the Saône-et-Loire, the Parc des Combes karting occupies the Gros Chaillot track, an outdoor circuit set beside the Combes tourist park, on the heights of the town. The layout is adjustable: it is run over six hundred and fifty metres for leisure rental, or over eight hundred and twenty metres in its full configuration. Taken over in two thousand and twenty-six, the site returns to open-air driving, in a setting of wooded hills.

The track opens on Wednesday and Friday from two to seven in the afternoon, and on Saturday and Sunday from ten to seven. Beyond rental sessions, the venue offers challenges for companies and driving courses for children, enough to take a first taste of racing or to progress at the wheel. People come to string laps together on the asphalt, as a family or among friends, away from the town.

Le Creusot holds a special place in French industrial history: the cradle of the Schneider works, the town keeps its monumental steam hammer, the Château de la Verrerie and the Académie François Bourdon, which tell the saga of metalworking. At the heart of the Creusot-Montceau urban community, between the Morvan and the Saône valley, the Parc des Combes karting adds a dose of open-air motorsport, in the south of Burgundy.
