Karting-Paradies Vilsbiburg

Karting-Paradies Vilsbiburg has run, since 1997, a facility that combines covered and open-air on a total layout of 2,000 metres, spread over two levels with two tunnels, a 20-metre overpass and four banked corners, in Vilsbiburg, in Lower Bavaria. This combined length and the technical nature of the layout place it high in the German picture.

The fleet covers all uses: a 9 hp Super Kart for the experienced, a standard 6.5 hp Pro Kart, a 6.5 hp Kids Kart from age 8 and a 13 hp two-seater for family introductions. On site, a training room and a meeting space take groups, and an American Diner-themed bistro, with billiards and darts, serves as a relaxation corner between sessions. Vilsbiburg lies in the Landshut district, 30 km south-east of Landshut, 80 km north-east of Munich and 100 km north-west of Passau. Landshut keeps its Renaissance ducal residence, built on the model of Italian palaces, the Trausnitz fortress that overlooks the town, and the Martinskirche, whose 130.6 m brick tower is the tallest in the world; every four years, the town re-enacts the princely wedding of 1475 at the Landshuter Hochzeit. The Bavarian Forest National Park, a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve, opens 80 km to the east, Passau and the meeting of the Danube, Inn and Ilz are 90 km to the south-east, and Munich 80 km to the south-west.
