Kartodromo Dino Falco

In the heart of the Sibari plain, in Corigliano-Rossano in the province of Cosenza in Calabria, the Kartodromo Dino Falco runs an outdoor track on the Calabrian Ionian coast, in the famous Piana di Sibari. The site sits in a rural setting typical of Ionian Calabria: the Crati alluvial plain, citrus groves, olive groves and the early Sila heights. It is one of the longest karting layouts in Calabria, a favourite with experienced drivers from southern Italy and Magna Graecia enthusiasts.

The outdoor format stretches over 1,450 metres, a particularly generous size that lets experienced drivers fully develop trajectories, braking points and cornering speeds on a high-level technical layout. Several engine sizes are available, from beginner karts for kids to higher-powered versions for regulars used to timed sessions. Conditions follow the Ionian Mediterranean climate: drier and faster in summer, sometimes windy on scirocco days. Corigliano-Rossano is one hour from Cosenza, forty-five minutes from the Pollino National Park and an hour and a half from Catanzaro. The region offers plenty more to see: Sibari and its Magna Graecia archaeological sites, the historic centre of Rossano and the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis (a UNESCO Byzantine manuscript), the Pollino National Park (the largest national park in Italy), the Sila and its lakes, or a side trip to Maratea on the Tyrrhenian coast.
