Kartodromo Elio De Angelis

Thirty minutes from Agrigento, in Campobello di Licata in the province of Agrigento in Sicily, the Kartodromo Elio De Angelis runs an outdoor track in south-central Sicily, a short drive from the Valley of the Temples. The site honours Italian Formula 1 driver Elio De Angelis (1979 F2 world champion, five seasons in F1 with Lotus and Brabham, who died too soon in 1986). It sits in a rural setting typical of the Agrigento area: coastal plain, olive groves, the early Sicani hills and a view over the Mediterranean Sea in the distance.
