Kartsportzentrum Rottal

Kartsportzentrum Rottal has run an outdoor layout in Rotthalmünster, in the Rottal valley, in Lower Bavaria, for more than 30 years, and ranks among the major karting centres of eastern Bavaria. The venue hosts a busy competition calendar, with several cups on the season's programme.

On the programme are the Karttrophy Weiß-Blau, a Bavarian regional cup of long standing, the DAI-Trophy, the ADAC Kart Rookies Cup for training young drivers, and the in-house endurance race, the 88-Runden-Rennen. Rotthalmünster lies in the Rottal, the valley of the Rott, a tributary of the Inn, 25 km west of Passau, 40 km south-east of Vilshofen and 100 km south-east of Regensburg. Passau, the town of three rivers, marks the meeting of the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz, with its baroque cathedral and the largest church organ in Europe. The Bavarian Forest National Park, Germany's oldest and a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve, opens nearby with its treetop walk. The Austrian border is 30 km to the east, Regensburg and its UNESCO-listed medieval stone bridge 100 km to the west, and Salzburg 100 km to the south-east. Český Krumlov, a UNESCO-listed town in Bohemia, is 80 km to the north-east, in the Czech Republic, and Vilshofen and its Danube port 40 km to the north-west.
