Le Kart'Are

In Aigues-Vives, in the Ariège, the Kart'Are lays out one of the longest karting tracks in the region, one thousand four hundred and two metres of outdoor layout, fast and winding, homologated by the French motorsport federation. Drivers ride petrol karts there, while children from three to six have an inflatable circuit with small electric karts. The length of the layout leaves real room to build up speed and work on the racing lines.

The circuit is not limited to rental: it hosts league championships and rounds of the IAME Series, offers driving courses for seven to fourteen year-olds and a reception room of four hundred square metres for birthdays, stag or hen parties and corporate seminars. Open from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays, it appeals to beginners as much as to competitors out after the clock.

Aigues-Vives stretches between Lavelanet and Mirepoix, at the heart of the Ariège and the Cathar country, a stone's throw from the medieval bastide of Mirepoix and its timber arcades. The Pyrenees, the Montségur castle and the surrounding stone villages extend the visit. Between plain and mountain, the Kart'Are adds a dose of open-air motorsport, in the south of Occitanie.
