Le Querce Karting

At the foot of the Sibillini Mountains, in Cascia in the province of Perugia in Umbria, Le Querce Karting runs an outdoor track in the Valnerina, a short drive from the famous Sanctuary of Saint Rita. The site sits in a mountain setting typical of eastern Umbria: wooded hills, meadows, beech woods and the first Sibillini heights. It is used by Valnerina locals and by holiday-makers staying for the Cascia pilgrimage (the Sanctuary of Saint Rita) or in the Sibillini Mountains.

Trackside, the outdoor format offers a rhythmic layout suited to a range of skill levels, in the mountain setting of the Valnerina. Several engine sizes are available, from beginner karts for kids to punchier versions for regulars used to timed sessions. Conditions follow the Umbrian Apennine continental climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy autumn days and cold winter ones (sometimes snowy). The site welcomes family taster sessions, kids' birthday parties, stag and hen groups and outings with friends.

Cascia is one hour from Spoleto, an hour and a half from Perugia and an hour and a half from L'Aquila. The region offers plenty more to see: the Sanctuary of Saint Rita of Cascia (a major Italian pilgrimage site), the historic centre of Cascia, Roccaporena (Saint Rita's birthplace), Norcia (Italy's capital of fine black truffle and traditional pork curing), Castelluccio di Norcia and its famous lentil bloom (June-July), the Sibillini Mountains National Park, or a side trip to Spoleto and the Festival dei Due Mondi or Assisi UNESCO.
