Outdoor Karting Vaals

In Vaals, at the far south-east of the Netherlands, Outdoor Karting Vaals lays out its outdoor track of about six hundred and fourteen metres in the valley of the Selzerbeek. The layout alternates long fast curves, a tight hairpin and changes in level that follow the lie of the land, a rare thing in such a flat country. You drive in the open air, on hire karts, with children's models, standard karts and two-seaters to take a passenger.

The venue runs seasonally, roughly from April to November, with extended hours at the weekend. Beyond open sessions, it offers group formats set up as Grands Prix, Formula 1-style races or Le Mans-style endurance runs, along with supervised archery to vary the day out. It is an address well suited to birthdays, outings with friends and company days.

Vaals is known for its three-country point, the Drielandenpunt, where the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet, at the top of the Vaalserberg, the highest point of the mainland Netherlands. The town sits right next to Aachen on the German side, and enjoys a hilly landscape unusual for the country. That topography is what makes the track stand out: between the bumps and the cambers, Outdoor Karting Vaals offers an experience different from the flat circuits of the rest of the Netherlands, in a corner of countryside where people already come for the view and the walks.
