Palóc Ring

In Patvarc, in northern Hungary, the Palóc Ring lays out a karting circuit of 1.2 kilometres, one of the longest in the country. Patvarc lies in Nógrád county, in northern Hungary, near Balassagyarmat, regarded as the capital of the Palóc country, a region with a strong cultural identity. Close by, the village of Hollókő, UNESCO-listed, keeps its traditional houses and folk costumes, in a setting of green hills. The Cserhát mountains and the rolling landscapes of the surroundings invite a walk. The region is reached by road from Budapest in about an hour and a half.
