Pori Karting

In Pori, on Finland's west coast, the karting circuit is run by the Porin FK-kerho, one of the country's oldest karting clubs, founded in nineteen seventy-nine. The outdoor track was resurfaced a few years ago: its fresh asphalt makes it a fast, technically demanding layout, valued by drivers wanting to work on precision. This is a club track, run by enthusiasts, not a commercial leisure centre.

The club opens the track by the day, with a fee paid before the visit, and plays a role as a base for training the region's young drivers. The hours cover weekdays and the weekend through the warm season, with closure on Wednesdays and public holidays. It is an accessible, affordable place, as much to train regularly as to discover competitive karting.

Pori is a town in the Satakunta region, known for its long sandy beach at Yyteri and for its jazz festival, one of the most renowned in Finland, which livens up the summer.
