Πίστα Κάρτ Καλαμάτας San Nicolas

In Kalamata, in Messenia in the south-west of the Peloponnese, the San Nicolas track lays out one of the longest karting circuits in Greece: one thousand one hundred and eighty-six metres of open-air layout, twelve metres wide, with nine corners run anti-clockwise. Running since 1988, it is also one of the oldest and most technical in the country, built to the safety standards of the international karting federation.

The circuit welcomes both beginners trying a kart for the first time and high-level competition: the national ROTAX championship, the LUXE CUP, pan-European friendly races, and also motorbike and car events. Set by the sea, at the red-sand spot between Kalamata and Messini, it stays open all year and rounds out its offer with an organised beach and local cuisine.

Kalamata, capital of Messenia at the head of its gulf, is known for its olives, its harbour and its long beaches, a gateway to the wild Mani peninsula. The ancient site of Messene, one of the best preserved in Greece, can be visited a short way off. The San Nicolas track holds a reference spot for the motorsport fans of the southern Peloponnese, on a circuit of international dimensions. Generous width, length and international homologation make it a true competition circuit, where you can take gentle first steps as readily as run regional races, a few steps from a beach to relax on after the effort.
