Scandinavian Kartway
About
In Anderstorp, in Småland, Scandinavian Kartway runs an outdoor layout of five hundred and fifty-five metres designed as a scaled-down replica of the Scandinavian Raceway, the only circuit to have hosted a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Sweden. To drive here is to follow the curves of a layout that echoes its famous neighbour, on a site steeped in motorsport history. The track runs outdoors, in the open setting typical of the Swedish countryside.
Karting stays open to everyone, no licence or experience needed: a briefing, a helmet, and off you go chasing your best lap. The length of the layout leaves real room to overtake and polish your lines, and the venue offers drop-in and group formats. A large covered depot, changing rooms and a cafeteria round out the facilities, enough to spend a good while on site. People happily return to beat their time, stopwatch in hand.
Anderstorp is a small Småland town best known to motoring fans for its Scandinavian Raceway, which hosted the Swedish Formula 1 Grand Prix in the seventies. The region, made of forests, lakes and small hard-working towns, lies at the centre of Småland, a land of woodwork and glass. Anderstorp is reached by road from Jönköping or the main route crossing southern Sweden, for a stop both sporty and rich in motoring memory.
