Tirreno Karting

At the foot of the Aurunci, in Ausonia in the province of Frosinone in southern Lazio, the Tirreno Karting runs an outdoor track in the heart of the Ciociaria. The site sits in a rural setting typical of the Ciociaria: cultivated hills, ancient olive groves, the first Apennine heights and the Tyrrhenian coast a short drive away. It is used by Ciociaria locals for outings with friends and by holiday-makers staying between the southern Lazio coastline (Gaeta, Sperlonga, Formia) and Cassino.

The outdoor track suits adult and experienced drivers, in the rural setting typical of the Ciociaria (the site is sport-oriented and aimed at adult drivers). Several engine sizes are available, with higher-powered karts for regulars used to timed sessions. Conditions follow the Lazio Mediterranean climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy days. The site hosts enthusiast sessions, motorsport-focused stag and hen groups and corporate events from the Ciociaria area.

Ausonia is thirty minutes from Cassino, forty-five minutes from Gaeta and an hour and a half from Rome. The region offers plenty more to see: the Abbey of Montecassino (founded by Saint Benedict in 529 AD), Gaeta and its famous Montagna Spaccata, Sperlonga (one of the Borghi più Belli d'Italia) and the Tiberius cave, Formia and the Mausoleum of Cicero, the Pontine Islands (Ventotene), or a side trip to Rome UNESCO or Naples UNESCO. Karting in Ausonia is a sport option for Ciociaria locals and holiday-makers on the southern Lazio coastline making the pilgrimage to Montecassino.
