Tuvängen Ring

In Södertälje, south-west of Stockholm, the Tuvängen Ring circuit is the home ground of the local karting club, the SKRC. It is an outdoor track dedicated to training and racing for club members, run by the area's motorsport enthusiasts. Unlike rental tracks, it does not host public sessions, but remains a true karting circuit, alive to the rhythm of races and training.

Karting here is above all a club affair, in the great tradition of Swedish motorsport, where drivers come to fine-tune their lines and prepare for competitions. It is through such clubs that future karting talents are often shaped, from the youngest age to the senior classes. To learn the terms of access, membership or any open events, it is best to ask the club directly before making the trip to the track.

Södertälje is an industrial town by Lake Mälaren, south-west of Stockholm, known for its large companies such as the truck maker Scania. The town is home to Tom Tits Experiment, a large interactive science museum much loved by families, and its canal links Mälaren to the Baltic Sea. Central Stockholm, with its palaces and old town, is about thirty minutes away by train, putting Södertälje within reach of the capital.
