Tuzla Karting Park

In Tuzla, at the eastern end of the Asian side of Istanbul, Tuzla Karting Park presents itself as one of the most complete open-air circuits in Turkey and the only karting track in Istanbul with a professional licence. Opened in 2017, it runs Parolin karts of different power outputs, from 4.5 and 6.5 horsepower models up to 9-horsepower machines, plus dual-seaters. All of it on a real outdoor layout, built for sport as much as for leisure.

Karting stays open to all, with no licence or experience: a briefing, the safety gear, including a balaclava that is mandatory under the helmet, and you head off to find your best lap. The variety of the fleet lets everyone find a category to match, from a first time on track to a close race among confident drivers. As the activity takes place outdoors, it is best to check opening times by season before coming. People happily come back to shave a few seconds off over the sessions.

Tuzla is a maritime district in eastern Istanbul, known for its shipyards and its thermal springs. The area is also home to the large Istanbul Park motor circuit, which has hosted international races, anchoring the region in motorsport culture. The Asian side also offers the Princes' Islands, reachable by ferry for a car-free escape, and the lively quarters of Kadıköy and Bostancı. The historic centre of Istanbul, on the other shore, remains reachable by transport to extend the day.
