WRT karting Nowa Huta

WRT Karting runs a covered track in Nowa Huta, in the east of Kraków, open all year and created by motorsport enthusiasts. The layout takes up to nine karts at once and relies on a two-tier Sodi fleet: 8 hp racing models for adults and gentler 4.5 hp versions designed with children in mind. The whole family can drive, each at their own pace.

The mood is that of a real driving club, geared towards progress and good company. Booking for individual runs or group outings, timing and professional supervision: you come to try it out as much as to shave off tenths over the sessions. The covered track lets you drive without worrying about the weather outside, summer or winter.

Nowa Huta is a district like no other: designed in the 1950s as a model workers' town around its steelworks, it unfolds wide avenues and monumental architecture that can be toured like an open-air museum. The Central Square, the old shelters and the rides in vintage cars make it a one-of-a-kind curiosity, to combine with Kraków's historic centre nearby. Close by, the Cistercian abbey of Mogiła and the Nowa Huta lake, set in a former quarry, offer a green break before heading to the centre. The district alone is worth a half-day visit.
