Adventure Park at Kartworld

In Watergrasshill, north of Cork, the Adventure Park at Kartworld lays out two open-air karting tracks: an international circuit of eight hundred and fifty metres, open from the age of sixteen, and a national track of six hundred and fifty metres designed for children from eight and for families. The petrol karts, launched down a long main straight, reach eighty kilometres per hour. The fast layout rewards speed and outdoor driving.

Karting is only one part of an adventure park of more than twenty hectares: there is also laser tag, archery, paintball, sumo bouts and conference facilities, not to mention a restaurant. Set just off the M8 motorway, the site lends itself to birthdays, corporate outings and family days, for a first taste of driving as well as a full day of activities. Having two tracks, one fast and reserved for adults and the other designed for children and families, lets everyone drive at their own pace, while the range of park activities turns the visit into a full day, far from a simple karting session.

Watergrasshill is a short way from Cork, the second city of the Republic of Ireland, set on the river Lee and known for its English Market and its harbour at Cobh.
