Autoklub Hradiště Písek

In Písek, in South Bohemia, the Středisko Kartingu of the Autoklub Hradiště lays out an outdoor circuit of one thousand two hundred and fifty metres, seven to twelve metres wide, with a four-metre gradient. Homologated to host up to thirty-four drivers on track, this sporting layout serves training as much as competition. People drive petrol karts there, in a setting turned towards demanding motorsport and performance.

The site is not limited to karting: it also hosts mini-motorbikes, quads, supermoto and pit bikes, from supervised leisure through to official races. The hub of an active motoring club, it appeals to seasoned drivers, families and clubs who come to train or take each other on against the clock. There is no rental on site, but nearby venues offer it in the region, around Tábor, Hluboká or Prague.

Písek is a historic town of South Bohemia, crossed by the Otava river and famous for its stone bridge, the oldest preserved in the country, built in the thirteenth century. Between a medieval old town, forests and the nearby Šumava, the region lends itself to escapes. At the heart of South Bohemia, the Středisko Kartingu adds a dose of competition motorsport, in the open air.
