BattleKart Halle - Leipzig

BattleKart Halle-Leipzig is located at Berliner Straße 191 (06116 Halle an der Saale), between the two cities of Halle and Leipzig in Saxony-Anhalt. Single-seater electric karts meet floor and wall projections that generate shifting virtual worlds. Six game modes are on offer: BattleRace, BattleSnake, BattleColor, BattleFoot, BattleVirus and BattlePool, from the classic race to team play.

A session lasts fifteen minutes and is run by two to twelve people. There is no minimum age; drivers must, however, be between 1.45 and 2 m tall and weigh no more than 120 kg. An integrated anti-collision system makes a helmet unnecessary. Adults pay 22 euros for the first game, 20 for the second and 17 for the ones after, children under 16 pay 18, 16 and 14; on Thursdays a Turbo rate applies as well. The track currently opens Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 8.30pm and Saturday to Sunday from 11am to 8.30pm, closed Monday and Tuesday. Contact: +49 345 96397979 or [email protected].

Halle an der Saale sits at the centre of Germany, 35 km north-west of Leipzig and around 150 km south-west of Berlin. The city shows the Gothic Marktkirche with its two towers, the 84 m Roter Turm, the birthplace of Georg Friedrich Handel and the Franckesche Stiftungen, a baroque educational complex. Leipzig, with its Gewandhaus, the Thomaskirche where Bach is buried and the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, is 35 km away. The Bauhaus in Dessau and Luther's town of Wittenberg are both UNESCO-listed, 50 and 70 km away respectively.
