BattleKart WEX
About
In Marche-en-Famenne, in the province of Luxembourg, BattleKart has taken up residence at the WEX, the Wallonia exhibition park. You drive real electric karts on a track free of obstacles, where the circuit is projected onto the floor by video projectors and changes with the games. It is a way of driving halfway between a race and a video game, under cover and all year round.
Packed with sensors, the karts react to the projected elements: you string together classic races and more playful modes, with bonuses and traps along the way, all secured by an anti-collision system and a seatbelt. The sessions, short and open from one metre forty-five, take from two to twelve drivers. Being set within the exhibition park makes it a handy stop for groups and events.
Marche-en-Famenne is the main town of the Famenne, the green hollow wedged between the Condroz and the Ardennes, with gentle relief and stone villages. The region draws nature lovers, between the Lesse, the Han caves and the picturesque Durbuy nearby. BattleKart WEX adds a covered, playful activity, welcome on rainy days, and rounds out the leisure offer of an area better known for its walks and green tourism. You book your session in advance, and the activity combines easily with a visit to the Han caves or a stop in Durbuy, for a day mixing nature and adrenaline.
