Indy Kart spreads its covered track over more than 5,000 m², with a 550 m layout that crosses two halls through tunnels and ramps, at Neckartal 202 (78628 Rottweil), three minutes from the town centre. The venue presents itself as one of the largest indoor karting tracks in southern Baden-Württemberg.
The fleet lines up several Hubi karts: the HK7 270 cc with 9 hp as standard hire, the X19 of the same power for groups, an HK7 version with hand controls for drivers with disabilities, a safety car and a two-seat Doppelsitzer with a roll cage, at 20 euros for 10 minutes. All the karts have adjustable padded seats and hydraulic brakes, with child pedals and child seat as options. The track opens Tuesday to Friday 4pm to 10pm, Saturday 11am to 10pm and Sunday and public holidays 11am to 9pm, with Monday closed. On the programme: a kart licence for children from age 8, free practice from age 14 or from age 8 with a licence, group and corporate bookings, a bistro and online timing.
Rottweil is the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg, founded by the Romans in 73 as Arae Flaviae, at the gateway to the Black Forest, on the upper Neckar, 80 km south-west of Stuttgart. Its medieval old town keeps its gilded oriel windows and its carnival, the Fasnet, one of Germany's most famous. The ThyssenKrupp test tower, 246 m high, offers the country's highest visitor viewing platform. Villingen-Schwenningen is 25 km to the south-east, Tübingen 60 km to the north-east, Lake Constance 100 km to the south, Stuttgart and its Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums 80 km away, and the Swiss border, with the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen, 50 km to the south.
