Kartbahn A60 Mainz/ Ingelheim

Kartbahn A60 runs a covered track of more than 350 metres in a dedicated hall, in Ingelheim am Rhein, on the A60 motorway between Mainz and Bingen. The fleet is made up of Rimo Alpha 2 karts fitted with Honda GX 270 engines of more than 11 hp, whose power is limited on request for beginners and children. The full safety kit is provided free of charge, head covers, helmets and gloves, with a three-point harness, neck protection and anti-lock brakes.

The formulas range from the race for all, from 25 euros per driver, to the Race 60 at 60 euros per driver, up to private hire and events from 490 euros an hour for groups. Access is from age 12, with no younger junior category. The track opens Tuesday to Thursday 4pm to 10pm, Friday 4pm to 11pm, Saturday 10am to 11pm and Sunday and public holidays 12pm to 7pm, with Monday closed. The venue welcomes individuals in formats of one to four drivers, groups from five, and companies, at all levels.

Ingelheim am Rhein lies on the left bank of the Rhine, 15 km west of Mainz and 25 km east of Bingen. Mainz lines up its Romanesque imperial cathedral and the Gutenberg-Museum, devoted to printing born around 1455. Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, is 20 km to the north with its Kurhaus and its spas, Bingen opens onto the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine valley, with the Loreley and the Pfalzgrafenstein castle, Worms and its UNESCO-listed imperial cathedral are 40 km to the south, and Frankfurt, a financial hub, 40 km to the east.
