Kartbahn Neubrandenburg

Kartbahn Neubrandenburg runs a 1,100-metre outdoor layout at Travertinstraße 11, which makes it the longest open-air track in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern according to the regional portal. Its minimum width of 6 metres leaves room for overtaking. The site is part of the kartbahn-mv network, which brings together three complementary facilities in the region, Dargelin outdoors, Stralsund indoors and Neubrandenburg outdoors, under a shared portal.

The fleet is made up of three types of karts, fitted with catalytic converters, seat belts and neck protectors. Neubrandenburg is nicknamed the town of four gates, in reference to its 14th-century medieval ramparts and their four complete gates, rarely preserved in northern Europe. The town borders the Tollensesee, a 17.9 km² lake. The Müritz National Park opens 30 km to the west, around the largest entirely German lake, and the Mecklenburg lake district lines up more than a thousand lakes and canals linking Berlin to the Baltic. The Burg Stargard fortress is 10 km to the south, Stralsund and its UNESCO-listed Hanseatic old town 100 km to the north, and Rostock with Warnemünde 100 km to the north-west.
