Kartbahn Stralsund

Kartbahn Stralsund runs a covered facility in the Grünhufe business area, in Stralsund, a Hanseatic town on the Baltic coast. The site is the third link of the kartbahn-mv network, which brings together three complementary facilities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern under a shared portal: Dargelin outdoors near Greifswald, Neubrandenburg outdoors, and Stralsund indoors for driving all year round.

On site, a Live Kalender and Live Timing display the sessions and times live, and booking as well as the sale of gift vouchers go through the portal. The exact track length, the type of karts, the rates, the hours by season and the minimum age are confirmed directly by phone or via the pages of the Stralsund section. The venue welcomes families, groups, corporate events and tournaments between network drivers.

Stralsund has been UNESCO-listed since 2002, alongside Wismar, for its remarkably preserved Hanseatic brick Gothic architecture, 30 km north-west of Greifswald and 100 km north-east of Rostock. The old town, set on an island almost surrounded by water, lines up the Marienkirche and its 104 m tower, the Nikolaikirche and the gabled town hall. The Ozeaneum, one of Europe's largest marine aquariums, and the Meeresmuseum housed in a former convent tell of the North Sea and the Baltic. The island of Rügen, with the Königsstuhl cliffs and the UNESCO-listed Jasmund National Park, is reached by the Rügenbrücke bridge, and Greifswald and its university of 1456 are 30 km to the south-east.
