Kartbahn Waldshut

Kartbahn Waldshut runs a large covered facility of 3,300 m² with a 400-metre layout, at Auweg 27 in Waldshut-Tiengen, on the High Rhine, at the Swiss border. The fleet is varied: 12 Leihkarts for adults, 2 karts for children in supervised junior lessons and 14 Rennkarts for experienced drivers in competition. The covered hall makes it possible to drive all year, whatever the Rhine conditions.

On site, a spacious bistro provides catering, a reception space takes groups, and a Junior-Kurs supervises under-14s with an instructor. The venue organises recurring events, the Oldie Race for seniors, the EliteRace for the fast and a Halloween-Race in season, as well as regional competitions. From 1 March 2026, the track opens Wednesday to Thursday 4pm to 10pm, Friday until 10.30pm, Saturday 1pm to 10.30pm and Sunday 10am to 8pm, Monday and Tuesday by reservation. Waldshut-Tiengen sits on the right bank of the High Rhine, at the Swiss border opposite the canton of Aargau, 40 km south-east of Basel, 50 km east of Schaffhausen and 80 km south-west of Constance. Bad Säckingen lines up the longest covered wooden bridge in Europe, 203.7 m over the Rhine, the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen, among the largest in central Europe, are 50 km to the south-east, and the southern Black Forest unrolls the Belchen at 1,414 m and the Schluchsee. Basel and its Kunstmuseum are 60 km to the west, Constance and its lake, UNESCO-listed, 80 km to the north-east.
