KartCenter Hildesheim

KartCenter Hildesheim runs a covered track that the management describes as one of the longest and most varied in northern Germany, in Hildesheim, 30 km south of Hannover. The centre works as a multi-activity complex: the kart track is rounded out by a LaserGame and an immersive flight simulator, which makes it possible to put together group outings of two to three hours alternating the activities.

The track opens Monday to Thursday 4pm to 11pm, Friday 3pm to 11pm, Saturday 10am to midnight and Sunday 10am to 10pm. Hildesheim has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1985 for its two Ottonian Romanesque churches: the Mariendom, founded in 815 and rebuilt after 1945, which holds the famous thousand-year-old rose bush of the cathedral, and the Michaeliskirche, founded in 1010, whose 12th-century painted ceiling is among the oldest preserved in Europe. Wolfsburg and the Volkswagen Autostadt are 60 km to the north-east, Goslar and its UNESCO-listed mining heritage 60 km to the east, Braunschweig 50 km to the north, Hannover and its Herrenhausen Gardens 30 km to the north, and the Harz, with the Brocken, 70 km to the south-east.
