Kartcenter Rostock

Kartcenter Rostock runs a large covered facility in the Schmarl district, at Industriestraße 10, presented as one of the largest indoor kart tracks in Germany. The venue works independently of the regional kartbahn-mv network and forms a fourth covered option in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, on the Rostock-Warnemünde axis.

Individual sessions last at least 30 minutes per driver, and Saturdays are reserved for full track hire for groups and corporate events. The venue closes on holidays, on 24 December, 31 December and 1 January. Rostock is the largest city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, around 210,000 inhabitants, and keeps a long Hanseatic tradition since 1218. The old town keeps four medieval gates, including the Kröpeliner Tor, the Gothic brick Marienkirche and its astronomical clock of 1472, still running, and one of the oldest universities on the Baltic, founded in 1419. Warnemünde lines up its cruise port, its 3 km of sandy beach and its Bauhaus-style Teepott, Bad Doberan keeps its Cistercian Münster, and Heiligendamm, Europe's oldest seaside resort, is 20 km to the west. Stralsund and its Ozeaneum, UNESCO-listed, are 70 km to the east, the island of Rügen 100 km to the north-east, and Lübeck and its Holstentor 120 km to the west.
