Kartodromo Planet Kart

Just outside Salerno, in Borgo San Lazzaro in the province of Salerno, the Kartodromo Planet Kart runs a 600-metre outdoor track with go-kart and motorcycle hire, in the industrial zone on the edge of Salerno. The site is in a Campanian urban-peripheral setting, easily reached from Salerno and the A2 motorway. It is used by Salerno locals for outings with friends and by Amalfi Coast and Cilento holiday-makers.

The outdoor track stretches over 600 metres, a rhythmic layout suited to a range of skill levels, in the sport-focused setting of the Salerno area. Several engine sizes are available, from beginner karts for kids to punchier versions for regulars used to timed sessions. The site also rents motorcycles, broadening its motorsport offer. Conditions follow the Campanian Mediterranean climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy autumn days. The site welcomes family taster sessions, kids' birthday parties, stag and hen groups and corporate events.

Borgo San Lazzaro is fifteen minutes from central Salerno, one hour from Naples and thirty minutes from the Amalfi Coast. The region offers plenty more to see: the historic centre of Salerno and the Cathedral, the Salerno seafront, the Amalfi Coast UNESCO (Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello), Paestum and its Greek temples UNESCO thirty minutes away, the Cilento National Park UNESCO, or a side trip to Pompeii UNESCO or the island of Capri.
