Pista Kart Bosco

Set on the Ligurian-Piedmontese Apennines, on the SS 35 bis dei Giovi at the border between Piedmont and Liguria, the Pista Kart Bosco runs an outdoor track on the famous Giovi Pass (472 m). The site sits in a mountain setting typical of the northern Apennines: chestnut and beech forests, high-altitude meadows, the first pre-Apennine heights and views over the Oltregiogo (inland Liguria). It is used by Alessandria locals for outings with friends and by Genoa residents on weekend getaways looking for a motorsport activity in a cool mountain setting.

The outdoor track suits adult and experienced drivers, in the picturesque setting of the Giovi Pass. Several engine sizes are available, with higher-powered karts for regulars used to timed sessions. Conditions follow the Apennine continental climate: drier and faster in summer, more demanding on rainy autumn days or in morning fog. The site hosts enthusiast sessions, motorsport-focused stag and hen groups, corporate events and club days from the Alessandria and Genoa areas.

The Giovi Pass is thirty minutes from Genoa, thirty minutes from Alessandria and an hour and a quarter from Milan. The region offers plenty more to see: Genoa UNESCO (Strada Nuova and the Palazzi dei Rolli, the Aquarium, the medieval historic centre), the Castello della Pietra near Alessandria, Acqui Terme and its Roman thermal baths (la Bollente, a 75°C hot spring), the historic centre of Alessandria and the Savoy Citadel, Tortona and the famous Pellizza da Volpedo Museum, the Antola Natural Park between Liguria and Piedmont, or a side trip to Lake Maggiore or the Cinque Terre UNESCO.
