Rødby Karting Ring

In Rødbyhavn, on the island of Lolland in the far south of Denmark, the Rødby Karting Ring is the track of the Rødby Gokart Klub, about one thousand two hundred and fifty metres long. The club offers both licensed racing and kart hire for leisure, on a large outdoor layout. Each kart must be fitted with a timing transponder, the sign of an organisation geared towards competition.

The life of the club is built around regular training from March to October, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and races that count towards the Danish leagues and championships. You come across licensed drivers as much as groups out for a leisure drive, in a club-minded, sporting atmosphere. Yearly training cards are open to members and non-members alike.

Rødbyhavn is a port in the south of Lolland, the historic departure point of the ferry to Germany and the future outlet of the great Fehmarn Belt tunnel that will link the island to the continent. The region, flat and farmed, is one of the sunniest in the country. The Rødby Karting Ring holds a reference spot for karting in the south of Denmark, both for competition and for a group outing on a long circuit. For a leisure drive, it is best to contact the club in advance, as access to the long ring depends on the calendar of training and races. It is an organisation geared towards regular practice, yet open to groups who want a taste of a big circuit.
