S-Kart Bytom

S-Kart lays out around 750 metres of track in Bytom, inside a 3400 m² hall, which makes it a generous indoor layout by Upper Silesian standards. You drive under cover all year, on a course that alternates fast curves with tighter passages. The venue claims some of the most powerful karts in Europe, led by the Sodi RT8 and its 19 hp, enough to satisfy drivers after a real thrill.

The range is broad and built for everyone: junior karts of 1.5 hp from 100 centimetres, 5.5 hp models from 135 centimetres and adult versions of 9 to 19 hp from 145 centimetres. The AMB electronic timing records every lap, and the centre rounds out the offer with a racing academy and even axe throwing to vary a group outing. There is enough to fill a whole afternoon with friends or family.

Bytom, at the centre of the Silesian conurbation, is easy to explore from the track. The region holds industrial heritage unique in Poland: the historic Guido mine in Zabrze, descending to 320 metres, and the Tarnowskie Góry silver mines listed by UNESCO are worth the trip. Katowice and its Spodek arena are a few minutes away, in a metropolis that has turned its mining past into a real tourist draw. The Nikiszowiec workers' district in Katowice, a listed monument, and the Silesian Museum set inside a former mine add memorable stops to the outing.
